The science behind
Your calves are a second heart.
Every step squeezes the deep veins of the lower leg and pushes blood back towards the heart. When you sit or stand still for hours, that pump slows down. The YUSH insole brings it back to work, first with mechanical vibration, then with vibration and NMES together.
Model 1 · first on the market
Mechanical vibration
A micro vibration motor in the insole stimulates the sole of the foot and helps the calf pump move blood and fluid out of the lower leg. No electrodes, nothing to feel but a gentle hum.
Model 2 · next
Vibration + NMES
The same vibration, together with neuromuscular electrical stimulation through two electrodes in the footbed, for an active contraction of the muscles.
- A gentle stimulusA micro motor in the insole sends a soft mechanical vibration through the sole of the foot. On the second model, two electrodes under the forefoot and the heel add small electrical impulses.
- The muscles respondVibration stimulates the sole and the muscles of the foot and calf; NMES makes them contract, as they would when you walk.
- Blood moves upThe contraction compresses the deep veins and pushes blood towards the heart. The vein valves stop it from flowing back.
- You choose the doseWhen, how long and how strong: every session is set in the app and personalised over time.
